If you use our desktop app to record interviews, it needs speaker access to capture what your interviewer says and microphone access to capture your responses. This is how we generate a full transcript for analysis. The audio is processed locally on your machine and is never uploaded to our servers — only the transcript is sent for AI coaching. If you prefer, you can skip this entirely and paste transcripts from tools like Granola or Otter instead.
